By booking and/or paying for an appointment, programme, package, workshop or other service with Seán McGeough Hypnotherapy (“we”, “us”, “our”), you confirm that you have read and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Appointments are only considered confirmed once the required payment has been received or an alternative payment arrangement has been expressly agreed.
Where a programme or package contains multiple sessions, the fee is for the programme/package as a whole and not simply for individual appointments attended.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all fees must be paid in accordance with the payment terms provided at the time of booking.
We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to reschedule an appointment, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required.
Where at least 48 hours' notice is provided, we will make reasonable efforts to move your appointment to another available time.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice will be treated as used and the session fee will be forfeited. Where the appointment forms part of a prepaid programme or package, that appointment will be deducted from the remaining sessions.
Any replacement appointment will require payment of the applicable session fee unless otherwise agreed at our discretion.
Clients are responsible for attending appointments at the agreed time.
For online appointments, clients are responsible for using the Zoom or other joining information supplied at booking and ensuring, where reasonably possible, that they have a suitable internet connection and functioning device.
If you are experiencing difficulty joining your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you are more than 10 minutes late without contacting us, the appointment may be treated as a no-show. We are not obliged to extend an appointment beyond its scheduled finishing time because of late arrival.
A missed/no-show appointment is treated as used and is not refundable or transferable. If it forms part of a programme or package, the missed appointment will be deducted from the remaining sessions.
Except where required by applicable consumer law or expressly agreed by us in writing, payments for booked hypnotherapy services, programmes, packages and appointments are non-refundable.
Once a service has commenced, fees relating to services already supplied or properly due under the agreed booking will be treated as earned, subject always to any rights the client has under applicable law.
A client's decision not to complete a programme or attend remaining appointments does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. Results vary between individuals and no particular outcome can be guaranteed.
The client's engagement with the process, attendance at appointments, completion of agreed actions and appropriate use of supporting materials may influence their experience and results.
Testimonials and examples of previous client experiences are provided for illustrative purposes only and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that another client will achieve the same outcome.
Hypnotherapy is not a replacement for appropriate medical, psychiatric or psychological diagnosis or treatment.
Clients should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding medical or mental-health concerns and should not stop or alter prescribed medication or treatment based solely on hypnotherapy sessions.
You are responsible for providing information that may reasonably affect the suitability or safe delivery of the service.
Where we believe that hypnotherapy is not appropriate, or that another professional service should be sought, we reserve the right to decline, pause or discontinue treatment.
Any hypnosis recordings, audios, written materials or other resources supplied as part of a service are for the client's personal use only and must not be copied, sold, published, distributed or shared with another person without prior written permission.
Hypnosis recordings must not be listened to while driving, operating machinery or undertaking any activity requiring your full attention.
Information disclosed during private hypnotherapy sessions will normally be treated as confidential.
Confidentiality may be broken where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious and immediate safeguarding concern, subject to applicable professional and legal obligations.
Clients attending online are responsible for choosing a private and appropriate environment for their session.
We cannot guarantee the reliability of third-party technology or internet services. If a significant technical issue originating from our side prevents the session from taking place, we will make reasonable arrangements to reschedule it.
Where a client purchases a multi-session programme or package, sessions should be completed within any timeframe communicated at the point of sale or subsequently agreed.
Programme appointments are reserved specifically for the client and remain subject to the 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy and 10-minute late/no-show policy above.
Unused sessions cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person unless expressly agreed.
Tickets or places purchased for workshops, masterclasses or group hypnotherapy sessions are subject to the cancellation/refund terms communicated at booking and applicable consumer law.
Participation in a group session does not create an individual therapist-client relationship equivalent to private one-to-one treatment.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a session where it would be inappropriate or unsafe to continue, including where a client appears intoxicated, behaves abusively or threateningly, or where the service is no longer considered appropriate.
Questions regarding these Terms & Conditions should be raised before booking or payment wherever possible.
By making a booking and/or payment, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read these Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
